Nicholas Confessore is an editor at the Washington Monthly, where he writes frequently about issues of national security and political affairs. Previously, he was a senior writer for The American Prospect, of which he remains a senior correspondent. The Atlantic Monthly, Rolling Stone, The New Republic, The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, and Salon magazine have published his work, and he appears regularly on television and radio public affairs programs around the country. Confessore is a winner of the 2003 Livingston Award for national reporting, and he graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University.
