Celeste Fremon is an award winning journalist and author of "Father Greg & the Homeboys.” Fremon has reported on Los Angeles street gangs since 1990. She covers the LAPD in “Cop Watch,” a regular column in the LA Weekly. Fremon is also a frequent contributor to the Los Angeles Times, Good Housekeeping, Los Angeles Magazine, MORE, the Utne Reader, MSNBC, and Salon. Her work has been recognized by the Los Angeles Press Club, the Western Publications Association, PEN USA, the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies, and the American Library Association. She currently serves on the executive board of directors of PEN USA.
