Julio Cesar Ortiz

Julio Ortiz is a General and Special Assignment reporter for Univision Arizona. He was born in Ensenada, Mexico, about 2 hours south of Tijuana. He received most of his schooling in Mexico before moving to the United States, where he finished his college education. Ortiz founded the first weekly Spanish Newscast in the history of the California State University System. He has worked for Spanish radio and newspapers as a border correspondent and covers border and immigration issues and legislation on a regular basis.
