Michael Anthony Riley
Immigration Reporter
Denver Post

Michael Riley works at The Denver Post as Immigration Reporter, where he went after spending five years as a journalist in Central America and Mexico, three of which were working in the Mexico City bureau of the Houston Chronicle. Winner of an Inter America Press Association Fellowship for nine months of writing and investigation in Mexico, Riley's dispatches from Latin America have appeared in The San Francisco Chronicle, The Baltimore Sun, Newsweek, BusinessWeek, and The Economist. His education includes a BA in philosophy from Williams College and an MA in political science from the University of Minnesota. He began his career in journalism as a bureau chief for the Casper Star Tribune.
