Fernando Pizarro is the Washington Affiliates Correspondent for the Univision Television Group. He covers Congress, the White House and general political stories for all of Univision's local stations. He also co-hosts a national weekly political talk-show on Univision Radio Network.  His previous Washington experience includes working as a freelance correspondent for CNN en Espanol and producer for Associated Press Television. He was also the U.S. correspondent for National Television of Chile for eight years. After politics, sports journalism is his second passion, and he covered the 2002 Japan/Korea World Cup for Univision Sports, and co-anchored a national sports newscast on Univision's sister network Telefutura. Previously, he was sports anchor at Panamerican Sports Network, ESPN International and NBC Canal de Noticias. His work has taken him to events in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
