Patrick Schneider is a staff photographer for The Charlotte Observer. His pictures have appeared not only in The Observer, but also on the front pages of The New York Times and USA Today, as well as in Sports Illustrated and dozens of other top-tier newspapers and magazines. Patrick’s award credits include Best of Show and Best Portfolio in the 2004 Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar competition, Region 6 Photographer of the Year, North Carolina’s Photographer of the Year (four times), North Carolina’s Clip Photographer of the Year (five times) and Region 6 Photographer of the Year. Patrick excels in sports photography, yet his ability to capture life’s moments with a documentary style and also create telling images through portraits has brought acclaim from around the country.
