Annie-Laurie Blair
Assistant Editor
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Annie Laurie-Blair is the assistant metro editor/criminal justice at The Cincinnati Enquirer. She supervises reporters who cover crime and public safety, local and federal court systems, FBI/ATF/DEA, immigration issues, homeland security, the gambling industry and science/environment, as well as the Enquirer's investigative reporter. Her team won the 2001 Freedom of Information Award from Gannett Co. Inc., plus top Ohio, Kentucky and Gannett awards for coverage of Cincinnati's 2001 riots, Cincinnati Police, the proliferation of Oxycontin, and CAR analyses of street violence and prosecution of drug dealers. Blair, a St. Louis native and U.S. Army veteran, graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and earned a master's degree in journalism from Boston University. She also has worked at daily newspapers in Kansas City, Boston, Ithaca, N.Y., and Elmira, N.Y.
