Melissa Moore
The Advocate

Melissa Moore covers crime and law enforcement in the East Baton Rouge Parish for The Advocate (Baton Rouge, La.). She has covered the crime beat for eight years, starting as an intern for The Advocate in 1993, then working briefly for The Fayetteville Observer-Times, N.C., before returning to The Advocate in 1995. Moore is on the Board of Directors of the Criminal Justice Journalists, and has a Bachelor's degree in journalism from Southeastern Louisiana University.
