Brendan Kirby
Reporter
Mobile Register

Brendan Kirby began his career working at a weekly newspaper covering the D.C.’s wealthy neighborhoods in upper Northwest Washington. He moved on to a daily newspaper, the Herald-Mail in Hagerstown, Md., where he covered the night cop beat and worked on a team that produced trend stories and investigative articles. For the past four years, he has covered courts and politics in Baldwin County, a suburban community across Mobile Bay in Alabama. He has won awards for news and feature writing. He graduated from American University in Washington, D.C. in 1995 with degrees in print journalism and political science and lives in Daphne, AL, with his wife and my 20-month-old daughter.
