Leslie Fulbright

San Francisco Chronicle

LESLIE FULBRIGHT covers African American Affairs for the San Francisco Chronicle. She joined the Chronicle as a transportation reporter in 2004 after covering gang crime for the Contra Costa Times, social issues for the Seattle Times and general assignment for the Oakland Tribune. In the year since she started her new beat, she has written about school segregation, HIV/AIDS in the black community and Stanley (Tookie) Williams. Fulbright attended journalism school at San Francisco State University. She grew up in Los Angeles.
